Philosophy

The philosophy of Tiny Treasures Daycare and Learning Center, LLC (Tiny Treasures) is to develop and deliver a curriculum that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of children from cradle to college. We are committed to providing services to families that enhance children’s abilities to reach their true potential and to offer a healthy and nurturing educational environments for all children. Children are accepted for who they are, not for what they are able to do. Each of our classrooms utilize the Creative Curriculum Framework to set up an environment of learning by doing which requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and to learn firsthand. Our teams provide guidance and support to our children and families through service, consultation, meetings, and workshops. These efforts increase community awareness and commitment to addressing the educational, social, and emotional needs of all children in our early education programs.

Programs for Infant to Pre-K

Tiny Treasures Child Care promotes the individual child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth and well- being.

Infant and Toddler (6 weeks)

In addition to holding and cuddling the infants, our teachers are always interacting with them to encourage their mental and physical development. Your child will learn to grasp toys, vocalize sounds, recognize pictures of familiar objects and acquire a variety of other skills.

Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play. The teacher reinforce the babies’ development without disrupting their daily schedule.

A shoe-free environment built for little explorers

Our bootie- or sock-only policy is one of the first things you’ll notice about our infant classroom. As soon as your infant is ready to start crawling and scooting around, it’s important to give them the freedom to explore. A shoe-free environment keeps their little hands and mouth safe from germs and dirt while they discover the world.

Keeping cribs free and clear

We keep cribs clear of items like pillows and toys and use a firm mattress with a tight-fitting sheet. Plus, they’re see-through so we can keep an eye on your little one.

Flexible feeding schedules to fit your infant’s needs

Whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed, we’ll keep your infant fed, happy, and healthy. We have policies to carefully label and separate breast milk and formula. And you’re always welcome to stop in on a break to feed your baby!

Toddlers (1 to 2 Year Olds)

Toddlers have many opportunities to physically explore their world inside the classroom and on the playground. They also begin more structured activities, such as learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will begin learning concepts of color and size, and will build their vocabulary.

Our staff understands the challenges that one-year-olds face in a social learning setting, and have experience in helping them adjust to the give and take of the classroom environment.

Kids eye level

There’s something special about the toddler classroom: Everything is kid-size! We put books and toys within easy reach of little hands. Instead of waiting for an adult to bring a book over, kids can kick off story time all on their own.

Photos and labels

In our classrooms, photos and visual cues are everywhere. We always hang pictures of our children’s families to help build our sense of community. Labels—especially visual ones—help your toddler navigate the room and the day in a safe and confident way.

Beginners (2 to 3 Year Olds)

This program expands on the foundation established in the toddler program. We begin to introduce more routine and structure to children’s activities and daily schedule. Your child will build vocabulary, learn functional numerical skills, and will be encouraged to use simple reasoning to explain everyday occurrences. We provide children with age appropriate activities, with monthly themes kids enjoy through crafts, songs and daily activities focused on numbers, letters science and math.

Intermediates (3-4 Year Olds)

Intermediates (3-4 year-olds) are more secure and ready for a higher level of challenge. Our Intermediates have a lot of opportunity to explore Learning Centers and participate in dramatic play. Your child will learn to recognize letters and some letter sounds, add two groups of concrete objects by counting and begin to understand the concept of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Pre-School (4-5 Year Olds)

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten by teaching foundational literacy and math skills. Children learn letter-sound relationships, sight word recognition and basic mathematical functions. We also provide a character education program to nurture important social and emotional skills such as listening, understanding feelings and resolving conflicts.

This well-rounded program encourages continued skill development in the arts and creative expression and also includes physical fitness.
